About Fox Hills

Location

Fox Hills is located in eastern Cobb County Georgia, northwest of Atlanta. Just 10 minutes from I-75, Fox Hills is located off Shadowlawn Road, between Paper Mill Road and Lower Roswell Road. Buckhead and downtown Atlanta are 20-30 minutes away. The Atlanta Airport is a 35-50 minute drive depending upon traffic conditions.

Why Fox Hills?

First developed in the early 1970's, Fox Hills offers large lots with mature trees and landscaping which provides seasonal beauty all year around. Fox Hills homeowners are a mix of families from those just starting out to original homeowners and retirees. Even with around 275 families, Fox Hills is a friendly little "hood" with great neighbors, great schools and truly good friends.

Our neighborhood is very sociable, featuring several neighborhood-wide events, such as Spring Fling, July 4th Bike Parade and BBQ, Octoberfest, Tour of Homes, and Lighting of the Way. There are also several new "Adults Only" events, including a progressive dinner, 25 year homeowners celebration, new neighbors outing and more adult events are planned. There are many smaller groups, such as adult book clubs, bridge clubs, playgroups, and tennis teams. Fox Hills children attend Sope Creek Elementary, within walking distance. East Cobb Middle School and Wheeler High School, which are both approximately 2.5 miles away. Fox Hills is in an ideal East Cobb location with many restaurants and shopping locations within a short drive, including The Avenue at East Cobb and Merchants Walk. Terrell Mill Park and the Chattahoochee Nature Trail provide nearby outdoor recreation opportunities.

Homeowners Association

The Fox Hills Homeowners Association is an optional association. The majority of the FHHA budget is for mowing and maintenance of our common areas (45%). The common areas include: the entrances, 4 cul-de-sac islands and 2 county-owned floodplains--Jenkins Park and the area at the end of Pheasant Court. Maintenance of these areas benefits the entire neighborhood and is currently being funded by just over half of the homeowners. Additional expenses include insurance--general liability and directors (11%), social events (10%), Lighting of the Way (3%), with the balance for publication of the newsletter and directory, postage and utilities for the front entrances' lights.  Please support our neighborhood by joining the Homeowners Association today.
